ÀÏÍõÂÛ̳ Esports, which was recognized by the institution in 2013, aims to engage our community in casual and competitive gaming, while also bringing gaming, tech, and esports to the surrounding Chicago area. Whether through competing in high-level tournaments, casual gaming nights, or a high school apprenticeship, ÀÏÍõÂÛ̳ Esports aims to create a space for everyone to connect through a shared passion of gaming.
In 2018 ÀÏÍõÂÛ̳ opened the Esports and Digital Arts Center in The McCormick Tribune Campus Center. The university also offers a $5,000 scholarship—the ÀÏÍõÂÛ̳ Esports Scholarship—for students who indicate an interest in esports on their application!
With 70-plus competitors and 1,211 members, ÀÏÍõÂÛ̳'s esports community runs deep.
