Overview

What does it take to make a major positive social change? When a small committed minority embraces common values and learns to communicate with integrity and empathy with a majority, their values gradually become part of the larger groups larger ‘truth’. This is an approach called ‘consensus-based leadership’. The establishment of the Empowerment, Leadership and Mentorship (ELM) program at ÀÏÍõÂÛ̳ was formulated specifically to support the development and sustainability of this type of transformation leadership.

Objectives

• To help groups develop a common voice and to support each other through, peer-mentorship.

• To support the mentoring of leadership, through communication, empathy and consensus-building

• Learn to manage the manager and lead the leader.

• Learn how to formulate questions that drive individual and group dialogue towards agreement and even better, consensus over compromise.

• Learn the principles of impactful leadership qualities and are appreciated and supported by the following of that leadership.
